ANIMAL CONTROL
The Mesabi Humane Society does provide animal control for the
area(s) who contract our services. Our job is to assist in enforcement
of animal related laws (leash law, abuse, neglect, etc.) and to ensure
domestic animals are being cared for in accordance with State and
local Statutes.
Our Animal Control can also assist in capturing of stray animals, or
to help get your pet back home when it runs away or becomes lost.
We also assist in emergency animal care situations when transport or
after hours situations call for us. We do work in partnership with all
of the local vets in our area as well as local law enforcement.
We know that every situation requires a different response, and our
belief is that we will approach every one with the animals best
interest in mind, yet always willing to help those who need it. Our
goal is to keep animals and their owners together, unless the animals
current owner is abusing or neglecting it. We are always willing to
help caring animal owners in need.
